Tea Extracts as Dietary Supplements

Just read an alternative medicine report "A mixture of Extracts of Black and Green Teas and Mulberry Leaf Did Not Reduce Weight Gain in Rats Fed a High-fat Diet".
Researchers Fallon et al (2008) found ingesting green tea extract modestly increased thermogenesis and reduced digestion of carbohydrates and triglycerides in the rats. Concurrently, increased HDL cholesterol concentrations were statistically significant.
However,  researchers caution that the very high doses that is required to achieve the result can harm liver function in humans!!
